About this event
MBS Made Easy for General Practitioners – 2022
Never before have GPs been so busy, overworked and overstressed. Finding time to read MBS changes and comply with day-to-day practice has become impossible. With over 500 changes to the MBS in two years this session is essential for all General Practitioners, Practice Managers, Practice Owners and most importantly GP registrars.
We cover all basic aspects including categories of the MBS and revisit the General Explanatory Notes, the overriding rules of the MBS.
Learn about all the changes in regard to Mental Health services, including telehealth and video consultations and the minimum requirements for patients prior to accessing these services.
Better understand the new telephone consultation item numbers and how they can benefit patients in accessing timely, affordable care.
Confirm your compliance in billing chronic disease care item numbers, how to create MBS -compliant care plans that will assist your patients with setting goals, taking action and better understanding their chronic disease.
Better understand skin cancer medicine and correct billing, documenting and follow-up of skin cancer patients.
Learn about case conferencing, medication reviews, and the changes to allied health which will have a team of allied health professionals jumping to help you with your patients’ needs.
Understand the minimum requirements for documentation for EACH item number and the suggestions for documenting common and complex presentations.
Finally the all-important COMBINATION billing. Find the missing rebates for your patients – this critical session sees GPs DOUBLING their billings over 6-months of compliance training and work and spending more quality time with their patients, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
