Richard Burton. In the Role of Director and Operations Manager at BFD Financial Planning and with over 20 years in the financial services industry, Rich has wide-ranging experience, having owned and managed advice businesses in the United Kingdom and Australia. Emigrating in 2011 and quickly building a strong network he honed his understanding of the Australian financial system whilst working for Westpac and St George. More recently with Zurich Australia, with development and leading a sales team as the head of WA. With his innate ability to form strong and lasting connections, Rich brings a strong pedigree, an eye for detail, and a history of building an energetic business culture. As well as playing an integral part in the founding of BFD Financial Planning alongside April Armstrong and will act as the Director of Operations moving forward. Away from work, Rich enjoys spending time with his wife and two children whenever he isn’t on the golf course.

Adam Crabbe has over 25 years of financial services experience encompassing financial planning and advisor education. He is a co-author of Zurich’s award winning Cost of Care white paper, is a Fellow of FINSIA, a contributor to various CPD content of life insurance, and holds both the CFP and Life Risk Specialist designations. Adam joined Zurich in 2018 following 5 years as a senior analyst for insurance product research, a role in which he was instrumental in developing an industry framework for approved product list construction, performed comprehensive due diligence on insurance products and helped in the selection of products and strategies that have assisted financial advisors achieve a best interest outcome for their clients
