Professor Kelvin Kong is more than an ENT specialist, rural doctor, academic, business entrepreneur and First Nations surgeon, he genuinely worries about how models of health care can be created today that will thrive and continue when he is no longer there to champion the way. It has long being documented and supported by research that rural Australians have poorer health outcomes, reduced life expectancy and higher risks of chronic disease. We also know that these outcomes are multifactorial, with housing, nutrition, access to education and health care being the top four contributing factors.
Join Professor Kong on his journey of establishing training programs, rural and remote ear health clinics and allied health sustainable business models supported with his passion for rural residents to have equality to accessing ENT services.
