BFD Education was established to provide Doctors and their support team with accurate and trustworthy education and resources. We have and will continue to provide MBS education and resources through face to face and online workshops and encourage ethical billing practices. BFD Education utilises industry experts in their field to provide business education and resources to enable doctors, practice owners and practice managers to increase their knowledge and build better businesses.

BFD Education Membership

We understand the difficulties in sourcing quality and relevant business and MBS education and therefore have created an education hub for our BFD Education Members. This hub will enable members to access not only BFD Education materials but also resources from our trusted BFD Partners.

Our Founder – April Armstrong
Dr April Armstrong is a rural doctor, business owner and medical practice principal who founded “Business For Doctors” (BFD) in September 2015 and subsequently BFD Education in 2019.
April is a UWA graduate of Medicine and worked in General Practice in regional WA and NSW. She is passionate about the business of medicine and supporting the medical profession in their financial and investment journey. April was awarded the WA Telstra Businesswoman of the Year 2015 in the start-up category and her rural practice, Collins Street Surgery nominated for the WA Telstra Business Awards 2015 and Business for Doctors was a finalist in the 2018 Australian Small Business Awards. April was nominated for the “50 Australian unsung heroes” for her work with Business for Doctors and her inspiring transition from a single parent working as a debt collector to medical business entrepreneur. She has developed strategies and methods in investing and business management. Currently, April is working in General Practice whilst still managing Business for Doctors, BFD Education and completing her Masters in Women’s Health at UNSW.
